IL Legislators ATTACK on Health Care Right of Conscience Act – SB1169

Breaking News – Last night, in a public display of support to Governor JB Pritzkers, proposed changes to the IL Health Care Right of Conscience Act, the Illinois House of Representatives passed HB 1169, which will be sent to the senate today.

House Floor Amendment 3 to Senate Bill 1169 would amend the Health Care Right of Conscience Act, which currently prohibits discrimination against anyone for their “conscientious refusal to receive, obtain, accept, perform, assist, counsel, suggest, recommend, refer or participate in any way in any particular form of health care services contrary to his or her conscience.”

The amendment would insert language stating that it is not a violation of the law for an employer “to take any measures or impose any requirements …intended to prevent contraction or transmission of COVID-19.”

These proposed changes could also directly impact COVID mitigations as they relate to children in the classroom. Our concern is these proposed changes could be weaponized for the forced vaccination of all children.

Today, you MUST call every Illinois Democratic State Senator and tell them to vote NO on SB 1169.

The People of Illinois have already spoken. They submitted over 50,000 witness slips in opposition to this bill. These are record numbers, and yet our Illinois legislators choose NOT to represent us.
